Our School Day
Children who attend our breakfast club arrive at the front entrance of school at 8.10am. The side gate to school is opened at 8.30am and children and parents are invited onto the playground. There is always a member of staff around at this time to welcome our school community and answer any questions they might have.
At 8.45am the school bell rings and all classes line up at the back of school. Children are taken into school by teachers and teaching assistants and parents are asked to leave the school site by the side gate so that we can then close the gate behind them and ensure our site is secure for the day.
Children start their learning once they enter the classroom and then the whole school gathers for assembly in the hall at 10.00am. Playtime follows assembly and then at 10.30am children go back into class until lunchtime.
At 12.00 - 12.15pm all children go outside to play. At 12.15am our younger children, followed by our older children, come inside to eat lunch. After lunch all children go back outside onto the playground until 1.00pm when the bell is ring for the afternoon session.
Our school day ends at 3.00pm when parents of children in Classes One and Two come into the school hall to collect their children from their classrooms. Children in Class Four leave through their classroom door and those in Class Three leave through the back door next to the office.
At the end of the school day children have the opportunity to access many afterschool clubs. There is a timetable of our after school provision on the website.
