Class 1, the Busy Bees, are a Reception/Year 1 class and are taught by Miss Philp (as Miss Hammond is currently on maternity leave). We also have the support of Mrs Carrington and Miss Dean, as well as other friendly faces from time to time!
Our work is based around our favourite stories, ryhmes and poems, and we love to do learning both inside and outside of the classroom!
Please see a few photographs of our children below involved in just one of their fantastic lessons.
Castles in Class 1
Throughout this term in Class 1, we have been learning all about castles. We have built our own fairy tale castle, which is home to Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty, the Giant and a pretty scary dragon! The children have been researching what materials can be found in a castle, together with who used to live in them. Everyone in the class has had a brilliant time dressing up as knights, princes and princesses, and making up our own fairy stories! Take a look at the picture of our amazing castle.
What We Want To Be When We Grow Up
During the week of Monday 30th November to Friday 4th December, we have been studying growing up. Throughout this topic, we have been discussing what we want to be. Some of our ambitions include working at a well know supermarket because of all the food, as a lorry driver so we can be like a parent and a vet so we can save animals! Please see the gallery below to see some of their ideas.
